NUTS is a first-person adventure game developed in cooperation with independent creators, where, by playing the role of a scientist, with the help of monitoring in the forest we try to unravel the squirrelly secrets.
In the game we take on the role of a novice scientist from Vlago University sent to Melmoth Forest in order to trace and better understand the activity of squirrels in the area. Living alone in a wooden hut in the depths of the forest is supposed to allow us to find answers to the questions that are troubling researchers; what do these nice furry rodents plan, where they hide their peanuts and which way they move?
To find answers to all these questions, it is necessary to use advanced equipment to monitor squirrel activity, both at night and during the day. Our task is to place the equipment in the most convenient places to observe and then analyze the recorded material in the comfort of a cosy cottage, combining a variety of circumstantial evidence. And even though we are alone in the field, we are accompanied throughout the game by the voice of our boss, Dr. Nina Schulz, who is commissioning us to do more and more strange things to test, but only cooperation will result in extraordinary discoveries.
NUTS has a unique graphic design that combines cartoon style with pastel, bright and contrasting colours, complemented by a soundtrack that allows us to feel as if we are going to the heart of the forest in person.
