Occupy Mars: The Game is a survival game developed by Pyramid Games and published by PlayWay. The game enables the players to take on the role of an astronaut, whose task is to build a well-functioning colony on the Red Planet.

Mechanics

In Occupy Mars: The Game we observe the action from FPP. The game takes us to a vast open world, where we travel on foot or at the controls of one of the several customizable vehicles. In addition to a futuristic rover, the creators give us, among others, a quad - thanks to its small size and maneuverability, this machine can get into hard to reach places.

The game presents us with a variety of challenges, the first of which is to find the right place to build the colony - the key to success is to lay the foundations for a base in a location with access to underground water resources; it is also worth paying attention to temperature fluctuations. The next step is to obtain the raw materials needed to expand the infrastructure - as we progress, we construct not only photovoltaic cells to provide electricity, but also drilling platforms, greenhouses (allowing plants to be cultivated), oxygen tanks or even fuel generators. What is interesting, the construction of individual modules is not enough - the player must also take care of functioning connections by means of pipes or cables.
