Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon iOS

Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon is the spin-off of the Oceanhorn cycle. Unlike the main parts of the series, this time it is not an action adventure game with RPG elements, inspired by The Legend of Zelda series, but an old-school dungeon crawler. The Cornfox & Brothers studio has developed this game.

Plot

Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon takes place two hundred years after the events presented in Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm. The great disaster has led to the collapse of the land of Arcadia, and its people, who now inhabit small islands, must fight for their survival by constantly repelling hostile attacks. However, not everything is lost, and the chance to rescue them is a legendary artifact, which, according to the legends, is supposed to change the course of history. The four heroes enter the mythical complex - Chronos Dungeon - trying to find him and with his help prevent the dramatic events of the past. But first they will have to face the evil deity itself - Chronos - and its followers.

Mechanics

In Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon we observe the action from a top-down view. The developers give us four characters representing four different classes: the Knight, the Huntress, the Grandmaster and the Mage . Their initial statistics are determined by the zodiac signs randomly assigned to them. In addition, each of them can be played differently, which makes it crucial for the game to skilfully use their abilities and utilise them in such a way that they complement each other. During the game, we explore dungeons and fight hordes of enemies, led by powerful bosses. Over time, we develop heroes, which is important because as we go lower, we have to face more and more threats. Importantly, dungeons are procedurally generated, so their design changes each time you start an adventure.

Game modes

Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon has been developed with co-op mode for up to four players in mind, but there is nothing to stop you playing alone. In addition, with fewer players we can switch between the available characters at any time.

Technical aspects

Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon features pixelart graphics that bring to mind games from the 16-bit era.
