OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes for PC, PS4 and XONE is a colorful 2d beat 'em up game with RPG elements. The game was developed by Canadian studio Capybara Games, known for such productions as Critter Crunch, Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes, and Super Time Force. The game is based on the 2016 Cartoon Network animated series OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes. The studio cooperated closely with Ian Jones-Quartey, the original creator of the series.

Plot

OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes is set in a typical American shopping mall called Lakewood Plaza. The protagonist, a teenage boy named K.O., works in a grocery store, and dreams of becoming the greatest hero in the world. He is supported in his task by other heroes visiting the shopping mall.

The plot is based on an original story, absent from the TV series. Lord Boxman, the antagonist, sends out his army of robots and takes away the heroes' strength and skills. The weakened heroes now have to face the new threat and defeat all enemies.

Mechanics

OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes is a typical 2D beat 'em up game, in which you use various attacks, special moves, and combos. Most of the time you explore linear locations within the Lakewood Plaza and fight numerous mechanical foes and boss enemies. On your way, you also complete quests given by NPCs. Each success is rewarded with new attacks and abilities.

The 2D visuals of OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes are based on the animated series' style. The game also features music and voice actors known from the original.
