A side-scroll action game by independent French studio Magic Pockets, in which you play as the characters from popular cartoons by the Cartoon Network Channel. In the game, characters from such series as Uncle Grandpa, Clarence, Regular Show, The Amazing World of Gumball and Adventure Time team up to defeat the nefarious shard creatures and bring back peace to the world.

The game was published by GameMill Entertainment and developed by Magic Pockets, the creators of many productions designed for younger audiences.

Plot

The plot of Battle Crashers features an original story starring the characters from five of the Cartoon Network animated series: Uncle Grandpa, Clarence, Regular Show, The Amazing World of Gumball and Adventure Time. When Uncle Grandpa travels through various dimensions, on his way he takes aboard some unexpected passengers: Gumball, Steven Universe, Finn, Mordecai, and Clarence. It turns out not to be a coincidence. Facing an unexpected threat, the protagonists have to team up to defeat the nefarious shard creatures and bring back peace to the world.

Mechanics

The mechanics of Cartoon Network: Battle Crashers are based on oldschool side-scroll action games, with shooter, fighting games and platform games elements. The gameplay consists of traversing levels full of obstacles, dangerous enemies, and challenging bosses. You can play as six different character, each of them using distinct attack techniques and special abilities, which can come in handy in odd situations. As the game progresses, some of the characters can be further developed, allowing you to unlock more of their abilities. There are 24 varied levels to complete, and you can replay them after finishing the game in order to try playing with special modifications and unlock all the bonus rooms..

Game mode

Cartoon Network: Battle Crashers features a singleplayer mode and a local co-op mode for up to four players (this mode in unavailable for the Nintendo 3DS version).
