A city-builder without focus on combat, set in the times of Ancient Rome. In Pax Augusta we build our ancient city from scratch, playing the role of a governor and completing emperor's tasks. The developer of the game tried to ensure historical realism and attention to detail.

Pax Augusta is a city builder created by Swiss developer Roger Gassmann, in which we undertake the construction of an ancient city under the watchful eye of Roman emperors. In order to give authenticity, the developer visited many museums and read a lot of books about ancient Rome.

Historical realities

The campaign in Pax Augusta is based on the writings of Roman historian Tacitus living at the turn of the 1st and 2nd century AD. It offers historically accurate units and buildings (excluding the topic of colors). The game's architecture includes traditional baths, extensive forums, bustling markets, and countless places of worship. The gameplay is characterized by attention to detail. For example, the Colosseum offers standing areas for the poor and slaves.
