Pixel Boat Rush

Pixel Boat Rush, released on AND and iOS, is a dynamic arcade game made in retro convention. The game was developed by XperimentalZ Games.

Plot

Pixel Boat Rush has a surprisingly complex and funny storyline, which tells the story of a player trying to reclaim their throne again.

Mechanics

In Pixel Boat Rush, we take part in motorboats races. Riding on 2D routes, we race with up to six other competitors. The controls are simple. Touching the right side of the screen accelerates, which allows you to jump into the air when driving on waves. By letting go of the finger, the machine holds on to the water surface. Generally, jumping slows down the motorboat but allows you to catch bonuses suspended in the air and avoid obstacles.

Thanks to the money collected during races, we buy better machines and improve our existing ones. With time, all motorboats will get access to all kinds of weapons, which changes the course of the competition. All this may seem simple, but in reality, Pixel Boat Rush requires a careful analysis of rivals' behavior patterns to predict their next move.

Technical aspects

The authors opted for an attractive 2D style, with slight retro elements.
