Pizza Possum is an arcade action game with stealth elements, starring the titular possum. It was co-created by an indie developer Friedemann Allmenröder of 4pm studio and Thomas Vandenberg of noio.
The story of Pizza Possum is mostly an excuse. The game's protagonist is a possum on a search for food. As he's not welcome in the beautiful seaside town inhabited by anthropomorphic animals, his goal is difficult to achieve.
Pizza Possum makes use of the top-down perspective. The player must run around the island town, finding and eating food to raise their high score. There are plenty of guards around on watch, aiming to catch and cage us. We must sneak behind them and run for our lives whenever they spot us. The gameplay is fast-paced and chaotic. Progressing unlocks further parts of the island, where we can find even more food.
Pizza Possum makes use of a colorful, cartoonish artstyle.
