Pneuma: Breath of Life

Pneuma: for PC, XONE and PS4 is an FPP logic puzzle game with adventure elements, in which you play as the eponymous deity Pneuma, watching the beginnings of the universe. The game was created by two independent British teams: Bevel Studios and Deco Digital.

Mechanics

Pneuma is a unique journey in search of the source of an ontological mystery. Playing as a deity, you face the nature of reality, by solving logic puzzles, which require orientation skills and unorthodox thinking. There are no weapons or other pieces of equipment available, but Pneuma can use the powers of his mind to build bridges, move platforms and open locked doors, as the game focuses on your ability to perceive and analyze your surroundings.

The game features the first person's perspective and the main aspects of the gameplay are exploration of the vast world and solving a series of surprising puzzles. Everything is accompanied by an inner monologue of the self-congratulatory, witty and very outspoken protagonist. This serves as a relaxing element, adding a bit of humor to the gameplay.

Technical aspects

Pneuma: Breath of Life features high-quality visuals. The Unreal Engine 4 was used to create beautifully rendered locations worthy of many an AAA action game.
