Pokemon Trading Card Game Online is a mobile conversion of a PC card adaptation based on the Pokemon franchise. The original debuted on the Japanese market in 1996, and two years later it was released in the United States. The game allows you to become a Pokemon trainer and take part in duels with other trainers. In 1998, the series was moved to the Game Boy Color portable console, and several years later it was released for browsers, AND and iOS platforms, where it is distributed in a free-to-play model with microtransactions.
The player starts a match with a single set of cards in the hand and, as the game progresses, unlocks other sets, giving them the option to make new and better decks. Pokemon Trading Card Game Online allows you to face both a computer opponent (good for testing various tactics and combat strategies), as well as living rivals - both friends and random people from all over the world.
The aim of the game is to complete the best deck. The player does this by unlocking cards (mainly with subsequent Pokemons), buying boosters and exchanging them with other users. Great emphasis was also placed on personalization of decks and the game itself.
The graphics in Pokemon Trading Card Game Online try to recreate the tabletop original. The game also features various effects and visualizations which make the matches much more spectacular.
