RAM Pressure PC

RAM Pressure is a turn-based strategy and tactical game inspired by the XCOM series. The title was developed by the independent QuadCom Interactive studio and uses a free-to-play model.

Story

In RAM Pressure the action takes place in the near future, when an extraordinary rain of meteorites falls on Earth; as it turns out, these were not just ordinary chunks of rock, but the remains of a fleet belonging to an alien civilisation that had participated in a galactic war centuries ago. World governments decide to hide this fact from the public by sending specialised mercenaries to the impact sites in order to secure the technologically advanced debris that can be found there.

While playing, we step into the shoes of a commander of one of these units, who quickly learns about a government conspiracy aimed at taking control of the population by means of the extraterrestrial inventions and technologies. As it turns out, this is not the end of our upcoming problems, as an even greater danger looms over humanity. Our main goal is to establish contact with the aliens who managed to survive, and to discover the reasons behind the extinction of their civilisation.

Mechanics

RAM Pressure consists of a number of missions, during which we deal primarily with fighting against numerous opponents. During the turn-based battles we have to make sure that we adopt effective tactics, taking into account the use of buildings and the topography of the area for our own benefit. However, this is made difficult by the fact that the maps are generated procedurally; the day and night cycle and the changing weather conditions are also additional complications.

As we move forward, members of our squad will be getting more and more powerful equipment (we are talking about more than a hundred types of weapons and armour that can also be modified). In addition, over time we will unlock new skills of our soldiers - their list depends on which of the twelve professions a given warrior represents.

Game modes

In RAM Pressure you will find both singleplayer and multiplayer missions. Players can form clans and alliances in order to achieve their goals together.

Technical issues

RAM Pressure has three-dimensional graphics of a decent quality. The struggle takes place in diverse environments - from dense urban centres to vast jungles.
