game release date for PC:
Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth is a metroidvania production realized as an action platform game. The item is based on the license of the book series written by Ryo Mizuno, entitled Recordof Lodoss War (Chronicle of LodossWar). The project is a fruit of cooperation between Team Ladybug and Why so Serious? studios; its publishing was taken care of by the latter team, in cooperation with Playism.
Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth takes us on a journey to the fantastic world of Forcelia, created for the Chronicles of Lodoss War books. Action of this production was set before events presented in novel Record of Lodoss War: Diadem of the Covenant. The main character of the game is an elf named Deedlit, who wakes up in the labyrinth of the title. Having no idea what this place is or how she got there, she starts to explore it, trying to find answers to her questions and trying to get to the exit.
In Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth the action is shown from the side. During the game we wander through interconnected locations forming the labyrinth of the title, solve occasional environmental puzzles and fight with encountered opponents. During dynamic clashes we use the sword to attack enemies in close combat and the bow to eliminate enemies from a safe distance. As we progress we gain new weapons and some useful power-ups and spells.
In addition, an important role in the game plays the elements, which we use primarily to attack enemies and defend ourselves. While Salamander, or the fire spirit, provides Deedlit with protection from fire attacks, the opponent who launches the latter can only be vulnerable to blows inflicted with the help of the wind spirit called Sylph and vice versa. The key to success is learning to switch between elements on the fly, which is especially useful during complex boss battles. In addition, when we inflict damage to enemies, the level of a particular spirit increases, and after reaching the maximum - third - heroine's life bar automatically regenerates, but be careful, because a targeted enemy attack lowers the level of a particular element. Spirits also allow you to avoid obstacles in the maze; for example, you can destroy barrels that stand in your way with fire, and you can avoid spikes in the ground by flying over them with the wind spirit.
Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth features pixel art visuals.
