In 2016, the Nerial studio launched a series of games with mechanics inspired by the dating app Tinder, in which we made strategic decisions by moving cards of various events or characters to one side or the other (accepting or rejecting them). In the following years, the series evolved gameplay-wise and made its way to various universes - having visited ancient China in Reigns: Three Kingdoms, it made its way to the world of The Witcher in a production titled Reigns: The Witcher.

WayTooManyGames: 8 / 10 by Leonardo Faria

Reigns: The Witcher is superbly well-written, and masterfully integrated into the world and lore of Andrzej Sapkowski and CD Projekt Red’s works. It doesn’t feel like a cheap cashgrab. On the contrary, you can clearly see that Devolver, CDPR and Nerial worked together in order to come up with an engaging random story simulator that feels right at home in this world full of liars, deceivers, and terrible outcomes for everyone.
