Rengoku: The Tower of Purgatory is a third-player action game with RPG elements. Players are guided by the android, which aims to exterminate a hordes of enemies and get to the top of the title tower. The Hudson Soft team was supported by a well-known Japanese draughtsman, Jun Suemi, when working on the visualisation of the game.
Set in a dark and distant future, Rengoku places you into the role of A.D.A.M., a battle android fighting your way up a great tower. Your mission, is to annihilate your enemies while improving your skills and armaments. Featuring strategic weapon configurations, a random level generator, and a competitive wireless multiplayer mode, there can only be one master at the top of the tower!
