Released in 2021, Vampire Survivors is a production that started the trend for arena survival productions ("action-adventure" games combining elements of RPGs, roguelikes and bullet hell shooters). Over the years it has received imitators, whose creators enriched their works with elements that distinguish them from others. One of them is RIP: Reincarnation Insurance Program from the independent WarmCore Studio, where equipment management mechanics straight from the Diablo series were implemented.

In RIP: Reincarnation Insurance Program we view the action from a bird's eye view. The title takes us to a world overrun by zombies, and during the gameplay we play the role of an agent whose task is to "reset" the apocalypse.

To do this, we have to put thousands of enemies to death, so the fight against hordes of adversaries is the pillar of fun. Clashes are dynamic, and during them you have to be in constant motion, conduct accurate fire and avoid enemy attacks. In addition to serial "walkers", which we get rid of in wholesale quantities, powerful bosses stand in our way. Defeating them requires discovery and the use of effective tactics.

Equipment

We eliminate enemies using an array of firearms, which we expand as we progress. It consists of, among others, submachine guns, shotguns, flamethrowers and rocket launchers. Each gun has its own strengths and weaknesses, plus many of them are enhanced with elemental effects, such as arson, electrocution or freezing.

Acquired weapons and accessories such as gloves and goggles vary in quality. Legendary items and set pieces are the most coveted; completing the latter provides us with additional bonuses.

Skills and character development

In addition to weapons, in arenas we can also use the so-called "Divine Tech", i.e. enhancements provided by the souls of legendary heroes. Among them we can find both passive blessings and active skills. By discovering synergies, we can gain access to devastating attacks that "clear" the entire screen of targets.

Despite the fact that after death we start the crossing from scratch, permanent improvements unlocked with special points that stay with us forever have been implemented here. We are talking about stat boosts and additional skills; thanks to them we become stronger and stronger from cycle to cycle.
