Roboquest is an FPS with roguelike elements. It was developed by an independent French team RyseUp Studios.

Plot

Roboquest takes us to 2700 year. As a result of devastating wars and rapid climate change, most of the Earth's surface is no longer habitable. Remnants of humanity have moved to the desert, fighting every day for survival and fearing the robots that have taken over the planet.

One day, a young picker named Max finds an old robot in the sand, which she manages to re-activate. The duo embarks on a journey filled with danger to confront the machines, find who controls them, and try to reclaim their lost world.

Gamer Escape: 9 / 10 by Eliot Lefebvre

What Roboquest aims to do is to be a game that is quick on the surface but brimming with depth underneath, and it fulfills that goal not just adequately but admirably. Every part of this game feels lightweight, like a short romp, but as you keep hammering away at its intricacies you find yourself dealing with ever-greater depth and complexity. It encourages you to just keep going for one more run, time and again. If you like first-person shooters, you will have an absolute blast with Roboquest. The game scratches the itch for a satisfying and active shooter in a way that few other titles manage, and you can expect to spend hours just ducking back in for another round of shooting and jumping in the hopes of reaching the end this time. I can’t recommend this one highly enough.

God is a Geek: 8.5 / 10 by Mick Fraser

Roboquest is just an uncomplicated, fun time that clears the palate after all the Soulslikes and open world adventures we've had this year.

XboxEra: 7.5 / 10 by Jesse Norris

Roboquest is a ton of fun, though it never feels great on a controller.  It does feel good enough to recommend on Xbox, though.  The devs get what it takes to make a solid run-based title, utilizing their years in early-access to craft another title worth checking out on Game Pass.
