Rose & Locket is an action platform game of metroidvania type. It was developed by an independent studio Whistling Wizard and was published by Critical Reflex.

Plot

Rose & Locket takes us to a fantastic land inspired by the Wild West, to be precise - the underworld. The main character of the game is Rose, who abandoned the life of an outlaw after the birth of her daughter. When the soul of her beloved child is trapped in a silver medallion by sinister forces, the protagonist has no choice but to put on her hat again, grab a revolver and head to the land of the dead to try and save her.

Mechanics

Rose & Locket is a side-scrolling action game. Dexterity and reflexes come in handy both during the exploration (which involves jumping on platforms and avoiding various traps and terrain obstacles) and during dynamic battles with enemies. We eliminate adversaries with a revolver. As you progress, Rose acquires her old skills anew, which allows her to face more powerful enemies and get to places that were previously inaccessible.

After completing the game, you can try your hand at one of the additional modes or put your skills to the test in specially prepared challenges.
