Swords & Soldiers II is the second game in the unusual strategy game series developed by Ronimo Games. Once again, the plot focuses on Redbeard and his gang of Vikings who venture on a dangerous journey. What makes Swords & Soldiers II stand out among other similar games are the mechanics. Gameplay mixes the elements from RTS', side-scrolling arcades, and tower defense games. The game focuses on the rivalry between the two enemies whose bases are located on the opposite sides of the map.

However, their ship gets damaged by an asteroid, so they are forced to seek refuge at nearby celestial bodies, each of which is distinguished by a different climate and terrain. Player's task is to help Mims in building and developing a colony under those difficult conditions.
