SCP: Recontainment

Mechanics

In SCP: Recontainment the action is shown from a first person perspective (FPP). The game takes place on procedurally generated maps, which makes every game look different. In addition, the map creator was implemented here, which allows us to create our own arenas and share them with the community. During the struggles we can take on the role of both anomalies called SCP subjects, varied in terms of appearance and skills, as well as scientists or soldiers working for the organization.

Game modes

SCP: Recontainment features single player game variants and a variety of multiplayer modes for up to 30 players. Among them we can find a single-player and multiplayer version of the Containment Breach module. As members of the class D staff (lab rats) we have to escape from the pursuing SCP entities, which came out after the breach.

Apart from that, there's also D Class Riot for up to fifteen players, SCP 087 Exploration IV, in which we travel alone through a mysterious staircase that seems to go on forever, and the five-player SCP 575 Initial Containment, where the main role is played by the titular matter form, which appears spontaneously in the dark and disperses when exposed to light.

Technical aspects

SCP: Recontainment features simple but atmospheric graphics. The locations are bathed in darkness, which allowed not only to achieve a gloomy atmosphere, but also hide any deficiencies in visuals.
