Nintendo Life: 8 / 10 by Chris Scullion

The Smurfs - Dreams does almost everything right when it comes to delivering a solid, enjoyable, and creative platformer. With a wide variety of ideas, some lovely art design, and a gorgeously soothing soundtrack, only its short length and disappointing handheld picture quality prevent it from being considered one of the very best platformers on the Switch. Given its relatively affordable price, it really is worth a look for platforming fans of all ages.

The Smurfs - Dreams is one of the best co-op games that you can play with its variety of super-fun levels, adorable game world, and clever gadgets that elevate the gameplay to new heights. I can't wait for more Smurftastic entertainment like this. ??

Levels are a bit too long, and the platforming could have been a bit better, but all in all, The Smurfs: Dreams is a pleasant surprise. With great visuals, a spectacular orchestrated soundtrack, and quite a lot of content, I simply wasn’t expecting to like this little guy as much as I did. In a console full of platforming juggernauts such as the Switch, it might be hard to justify purchasing it if you’re not exactly a fan of the Smurfs franchise, but I’d still recommend it to any platforming fan.
