A science-fiction arcade and sports game, produced by independent studio Agharta. The player plays the role of a cosmic castaway, whose damaged ship lands on the surface of a distant planet. The main attraction of its inhabitants is the title casino - Shufflepuck Cantina Deluxe, where regular air hockey tournaments are organized.
Shufflepuck Cantina Deluxe is the work of French studio Agharta, known primarily for its 1112 series of casual adventures. This time the developers from Lyon have tried their hand at the genre of arcade sports games.
Shufflepuck Cantina Deluxe takes place in the distant future. The spacecraft, piloted by the main character, falls into a black hole and crashes on the surface of an unknown planet. Against the background of the desert landscape, you can see from a distance a sizable building - Shufflepuck Cantina Deluxe. The pub and casino in one is full of representatives of foreign races, who compete against each other in the air hockey tournaments. For the protagonist it is an opportunity to get the parts necessary to repair the damaged ship and return to Earth.
The game offers several fun options - from a single match, through betting on money and missions, to tournaments and survival mode (loss occurs automatically after the loss of a goal). The core of the game are the matches of cymbergaj with the action observed from the first person's perspective (FPP). The player manipulates the bounce and his task is to place the puck in the opponent's goal. The creators took care of the variety of opponents, each of which has the only special attack, activated after gathering a sufficient amount of energy.
Shufflepuck Cantina Deluxe does not have a multiplayer option. Instead, developers have implemented social features. This allows, among other things, to fight correspondence duels with friends (e.g. who will achieve a certain score faster or will beat the indicated level).
From the technical side, Shufflepuck Cantina Deluxe uses the potential of its own engine. It offers high quality (by the standards of independent games) three-dimensional visual setting. The party is accompanied by a pleasant jazz background music.
