SOL Shogunate

Over the years, feudal Japan has been the setting of a number of important video games. Chaos Manufacturing studio decided to draw on its rich history to base an original science fiction universe on it. The team created it for SOL Shogunate, an action RPG that is its debut work.

Gameplay

In SOL Shogunate, events are viewed from a third-person perspective (TPP).

Locations and exploration

The game is set on the Moon which is a futuristic gateway to the Solar System. The adventure takes us through various "astrofeudal" biomes on the silver globe, including both metropolises, which pay homage to different eras of Japanese history, and mining towns located in craters and monolithic installations.

We can traverse them on foot, on the back of a mechanical mount or on a monocycle. In addition, a jet pack and a rope with a hook made of nanowire are useful during exploration, allowing you to get to high places.

Combat with enemies and character development

Duelingwith enemies plays a paramount role here. Both serial adversaries and powerful bosses stand in our way. Clashes are dynamic, and on the battlefield we use white weapons (led by the katana) and combat skills. We can eliminate enemies both in close quarters and at a distance.
