The protagonist starts his journey as a lone traveler, but in time he may be joined by two other companions. Together they visit various locations, make difficult decisions and, most of all, fight with enemies encountered on the way. The most interesting feature in Tale of Ronin is the so-called Sekai System, which is a kind of permadeath mechanic.
