Soulash

Game mechanics

In Soulash we observe the action from the top-down view. It offers us a vast open world, which includes gnome villages, mighty fortresses built by dwarves, sun-scorched deserts and a gigantic capital city.

Traversing this dark land, we deal mainly with the elimination of hordes of enemies. Skirmishes take place in turn-based mode and during them we use combat skills, which vary depending on the selected character class. For example, while as a battle mage we mainly use spells based on the elements, necromancer summons the undead and skeletons. Standing on the battlefield, you need to keep in mind that the topography of the terrain and weather conditions affect the course of battles. In addition to regular opponents (or rather victims), on our way there are other deities and powerful bosses, whose defeat is a much greater challenge for us. As we progress we develop our character, unlocking new abilities and getting better equipment.

Activities, which are not necessarily associated with the dark deities, add variety to the game. In breaks from sowing chaos we can take care of... running your own small farm, cultivating the land, milking cows or extracting honey. In addition, we'll find an extensive crafting system, and to produce new items or improve existing ones we need a wide range of resources, such as wood, leather or minerals.

Technical aspects

Graphics in Soulash is made in a very simple pixel art style. Game comes with built-in tools to create mods, allowing you to design your own maps, skills, classes, races and items.
