An improved version of the mobile speedway simulator that was released in 2014 by Berobasket. In Speedway Challenge 2016 the player can control one of almost 80 speedway teams, among which there are league teams from Poland, England, Sweden and Denmark, national teams and historical ones alike.
Speedway Challenge 2016 for PC, AND and iOS is an improved version of the mobile speedway simulator Speedway Challenge that was released in 2014. The title was developed by Berobasket studio. The new edition remains faithful to the foundations of the previous game while expanding and improving many mechanics.
Despite the fact that the original version of the game received many updated, further expansion of the title wasn’t possible due to the limitations of the game engine. This convinced the creators of the title to create a new, improved edition of Speedway Challenge which contains many changes and improvements suggested by the fans of the previous game and a few completely new features. In the game the player can take control of one of almost 80 speedway teams among which there are league teams from Poland, England, Sweden and Denwark, national teams, as well as historical ones. One can also create completely new team and select a logo and home track for it. A great focus was placed on the realistic behavior of the vehicles and the necessity to use different tactics on each of 37 tracks. Each available league has also its own set of rules recreated from the real world.
The main novelty is the addition of financial aspect thanks to which success in the game is no longer determined only by winning the races – one must also wisely manage the budget of the team. In addition to racing, the player has also many manager responsibilities such as contract and transfer negotiations and the necessity to deal with injuries. Each of more than 550 drivers has different parameters and statistics and his form can change during the season. The game is played on one of three difficulty levels and successes are rewarded with special points used for unlocking new teams and tracks.
Speedway Challenge 2016 for PC, AND and iOS is using similar distribution model as its predecessor. Only friendly match and pre-determined challenges that include individual races and famous historical races are available in the free version of the title. The most advanced league mode is available only after buying it. It allows leading the team through unlimited number of seasons with no limitations.
Speedway Challenge 2016 for PC, AND and iOS has greatly improved graphics. Matches are much more impressive and the drivers are more detailed. They also drive more fluently. In addition to that, AI of computer opponents was improved and a new, harder driving model was implemented, forcing the players to drive more carefully. Game interface and the profile view were slightly improved as well, now containing all needed information and statistics.
