Spray Paint Simulator is a simulation game that allows us to become a professional painter. The game is reminiscent of the best-selling PowerWash Simulator. It was developed by the British studio North Star Video Games, which previously co-created the similar genre project Lawn Mowing Simulator.

Gameplay

In Spray Paint Simulator we watch the action from the first-person perspective (FPP).

Working as a spray painter

The game transports us to the fictional town of Spatterville, which has already seen its heyday... or perhaps it's yet to come. It so happens that the game allows us to take an airbrush in hand and restore the former glory of individual objects, masking their shortcomings under a layer of fresh paint.

  • Quality of Life Features: Players appreciate features like highlighting areas that need painting and the ability to crouch or go prone for better access.
  • Colorful Graphics: The vibrant colors and overall aesthetic of the game are positively noted, adding to the enjoyment.
  • Potential for Growth: Some users see the game as having good potential, especially if the developers continue to add content and improve gameplay.

The main cons of the game

  • Short Length: The game is criticized for being too short, with many players completing it in 10-14 hours. Users feel that the content does not justify the price.
  • Limited Co-op Functionality: Co-op play is restricted to a "free spray" mode, requiring players to complete levels solo before they can play them together. This has frustrated many users.
  • Bugs and Clunky Mechanics: Players have reported various bugs, particularly with the cherry picker vehicle, which can be difficult to control. Some also mentioned issues with overspray and completion percentages not registering correctly.
  • Tedious Tasks: Certain levels, especially the bridge level, were described as tedious and frustrating, detracting from the overall enjoyment.

The features or elements that are missing from the game according to users

  • Enhanced Customization Options: Players would like more options for customizing their painting tools and the ability to mask off areas more intuitively.

Summary
