Squad Assault: West Front PC

Squad Assault: West Front is a strategic war game set in the realities of World War II. Allows players to take command of German troops or Allied forces and take part in a series of clashes that took place in France in 1944 (western front). The game was created in the Freedom Games development studio, which had previously created G.I. Combat's war strategy and inherited from it a fully three-dimensional graphic engine and almost all other key features, such as the interface, control system or the system responsible for simulating the behavior of soldiers in combat. Naturally, conclusions were drawn from a large number of criticisms of G.I. Combat and a number of previously annoying features were improved. The game takes place in real time, and for those who prefer turn-based game mode, the option of auto-pause has been introduced, as well as the possibility of observing the ongoing action and issuing orders from the level of two-dimensional map.
