A city builder strategy game about constructing a vertical metropolis. In Stario: Haven Tower, we build new floors of the titular tower, trying to take care of the infrastructure and technology development, as well to make the structure stable. We also have to deal with different conditions based on various layers of the atmosphere.

The vast majority of city builder strategy games have accustomed us to expanding our cities horizontally. However, from time to time there are exceptions, such as All Will Fall. This group also includes Stario: Haven Tower described here, made by the Stargate Games studio.

Gameplay

In Stario: Haven Tower we watch the action from a bird's-eye view.

Expansion of the tower and taking care of the residents

During the game, we focus on building the titular tower, which under our command transforms from a low structure into a powerful metropolis reaching upwards. To ensure that this structure thrives and that our subjects live well, we must primarily take care of the supply deliveries to its upper floors, as well as the food rations for the residents of the lower floors.

To achieve this, it is necessary to consider the infrastructure in advance and think about pathways for the workforce, lay pipelines, and also map out routes for hot air balloons. The impressive structures and landmarks are also significant, as they are worth building to boost the morale and productivity of our workers.

Technological development

Technological development also plays an important role here, as it allows us to accumulate more resources and make the entire structure more stable and advanced. The taller the tower, the more reinforced its frame must be (these effects are achieved by using special stiffeners). Additionally, the strong construction allows for the creation of increasingly expansive platforms.

Conditions in the sky

As we climb higher, it's important to remember that different layers of the atmosphere have varying conditions. Although the residents of our tower flee from the sandstorm raging at the surface, among the clouds and above them it is not always safer, as they may be affected by acid rain, for example.
