Subliminal is a logical FPP horror game where we explore empty rooms while being chased by inhuman entities. This independent production marks the debut of Accidental Studios and is based on the creepypasta The Backrooms.

Gameplay

The game throws us into a network of procedurally generated liminal spaces, each recreating a memory of the main character. As we navigate through deserted basements, water parks, playgrounds, hospital corridors, living rooms, or subway stations, we try to avoid eye contact with the monsters hunting us.

To move through the enigmatic world of Subliminal, we need to use a light source. By grabbing objects from the ceilings, we cast light to discover new paths. Changing the illumination can transform the entire space, and placing the light too far away may require starting over. Besides playing with shadows, we also engage in manipulating perspective.
