IGN: 8 / 10 by Caley Roark
Super Mega Baseball isn't as deep a simulation as MLB The Show, but doesn't have to be: it gets the fundamentals right and has taken meaningful steps toward being a more complete baseball game.
DualShockers: 7 / 10 by Ricky Frech
Super Mega Baseball 3 is not a total home run, but the franchise and its brand of wacky baseball continue to trend in the right direction.

For those who don’t have access to a PS4, Super Mega Baseball 3 still offers a solid overall package and will not disappoint anyone looking for a good time.
Super Mega Baseball 3 Description
Super Mega Baseball is a series of arcade games from Metalhead Software, which, as the name suggests, allows players to immerse themselves in the world of baseball. The third part introduces many improvements over its predecessors. The biggest change is the new mode - Franchise - which aims to deepen the simulation aspect of the game. The game also takes into account the daytime and variable lighting; it further improves the graphics and the gameplay itself. Developers have not abandoned multiplayer mode and we can still compete with other players in cross-platform games.
Mechanics
The biggest change in Super Mega Baseball 3 compared to its predecessors is the introduction of Franchise Mode, which deepens the simulation experience. Now we can lead our team for many seasons, watch the players gain experience, grow old and finally retire.
Despite the greater focus on simulation, the game continues to give us plenty of freedom in single player mode. We can create our own league, starting with matching its structure or the length of one season and ending with the names of the players, team logos or their names.
The competition takes place in 14 detailed designed stadiums. We watch them in different ways, as the third part of the series introduce day/night mode and artificial lighting effects.
The game itself has also changed more or less in relation to the previous parts. We can try out new base capture mechanics, as well as "pick-off", i.e. the possibility of eliminating a runner who is not on his base.
Game modes
Super Mega Baseball 3 is a single and multiplayer game. Single player mode allows you to lead your own team, while multiplayer mode allows players to try the cross-play.
Other information
There is a game demo available which allows to play an unlimited number of matches in multiplayer mode to ensure short waiting times and a constant stream of new players.
Super Mega Baseball 3 has a nice, slightly exaggerated (which makes it characteristic) cartoon graphics.
