A first-person adventure game with manga graphics, allowing us to try and save our favorite bar from being closed. The action of Sushi Ben takes place in a coastal town. We complete quests for its residents, so that they will agree to eat sushi with us. We can also participate in various minigames.
In 2023, the independent team Big Brane Studios released their anime-inspired adventure game titled Sushi Ben. It was initially available for owners of Meta Quest and HTC Vive virtual reality headsets. Over time, it also premiered on other platforms, and it was released on personal computers in a version that does not require VR goggles.
In Sushi Ben we watch the action from a first-person perspective (FPP).
The game takes us to the seaside town of Kotobuki, gradually taken over by big city "business sharks". During the game, we take on the role of a character whose goal is to save their favorite sushi bar from closing. In order to achieve this, we need to convince the other residents of Kotobuki to agree to have dinner with us there.
The task resting on our shoulders is not easy, as it requires us to provide assistance to various NPCs in dealing with the problems that plague them. Apart from the missions pushing the story forward, there are a number of mini-games to check out, such as fishing, archery, taking dogs for walks, or even ghost hunting.
The graphic design of Sushi Ben is maintained in manga style.
