Take No Prisoners is a postapocalyptic brutal top-down shooting, in which we try to save humanity from extinction as a result of radiation. American studio Raven Software is responsible for the creation of the game, known mainly because of two Doom's fantasy clones, i.e. Hexen and Heretic.

The action of the game takes us into a distant future, to the city of San Antonio, Texas - or rather, what was left of it after the nuclear explosion. Only a special protective dome, whose construction is undertaken by a corporation, can save mankind from the harmful effects of radiation. In order to do this, however, it is necessary to recover a special matrix, which is located in a mysterious tower in the very centre of the city. Players play the role of a mercenary named Slade - one of the few people who survived the explosion. His task will be to get through further districts of San Antonio and regain a valuable device. If he fails to do so, he will die within six months - just like everything that lives outside the dome.
