An RPG set in a fantasy world destroyed by antique robots. Terra Memoria offers turn-based battles and an advanced crafting system, allowing to both repair destroyed buildings and place brand new structures. The game features a unique graphics style combining 3D with pixel art.
Terra Memoria is an RPG game with an emphasis on exploration, combat and crafting. The game was developed by the independent studio La Moutarde, which has the Old School Musical released in 2018 in its portfolio.
Terra Memoria takes us to the fantasy land of Terra. Although the lives of its inhabitants have been peaceful so far, the depletion of magical crystals and the sudden awakening of ancient robots herald the end of days.
Fortunately, not everything is lost yet, as a group of six heroes steps into action, embarking on a journey to reach the source of all the problem. Somewhat incidentally, our heroes are learning more and more about the world around them and are working to make it a better place.
In Terra Memoria, we watch the action from a bird's eye view. During the gameplay, we traverse the titular land, get to know its inhabitants and carry out the quests assigned to us, while conducting an investigation that brings us closer to solving the main problem. On the way, we have to face opponents with whom we engage in turn-based skirmishes. As we progress, we develop the protagonists and gather increasingly better equipment.
It doesn't end there, because our team can also build, which allows them to influence how the land looks. It's possible to rebuild destroyed objects, erect completely new structures, and decorate the surroundings. This skill is also useful for solving environmental puzzles we encounter.
Between each expedition, we set up a camp where we can regain our depleted strength and ensure various enhancements by eating various meals, as well as take advantage of the services of a master and a blacksmith who take care of our equipment.
During their journeys, our heroes create a kind of guide to the region, and we can decide on its content by including specific information and graphics.
The graphic design of Terra Memoria was created using a technique that combines 3D with pixel art style.

Video Chums: 8 / 10 by Martijn van Gent
I have some issues with Terra Memoria but they're tiny and barely detract from an otherwise enjoyable experience. Fun battles, exploration, worldbuilding, characters - it's a simple yet solid RPG that I think almost any fan of the genre will find entertaining. ??

Overall, while there were some flaws to my time in Terra Memoria, I'm glad I was able to experience this captivating world which was full of great ideas, beautiful art, and an entertaining combat system. Some aspects felt not fully realized, but hopefully this means the developer is just getting started.

Terra Memoria is a small, but addictive RPG that I can recommend with a clear conscience. It's a title that is correct in every aspect and gives a ton of pleasure, but in the end it leaves a feeling that it could have been something more. Despite this disappointment, it is worth taking an interest in this production.
