In the first years of its activity, the French team of Artefacts Studio created diversified productions - from races, to arcade games, to adventures. This changed to some extent in 2020, with the release of The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet of Chaos, after which games with a tactical bent began to lead the portfolio of the company. Among them is Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent, a dungeon crawler RPG based on the license of the board game released in Poland under the title Descent: Legends of the Dark.
In Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent, the action is viewed in an isometric view. After choosing a character from among the assorted adventurers, we head a team of up to four players to challenge the forces of evil. Each protagonist has his or her own story, preferred weaponry and fighting style. As we progress, we develop them, improving their skills and strengths, as well as collecting more powerful equipment and upgrading them in the Forge.
The adventure leads through a variety of dungeons. Within the framework of the story campaign, which is divided into chapters, we complete tasks pushing the plot forward as well as side missions, conduct conversations (the course of which adapts to the composition of our squad), and face off against enemies.
Skirmishes take place in turn-based mode, and the combat system implemented in the game is based on simple rules. Victory is ensured primarily by proper positioning of the character (taking into account height and line of sight) and timing. In addition, the synergies between individual adventurers and the powerful attacks associated with them play an important role, which must be kept in mind when composing a team. Both serial adversaries and powerful bosses stand in our way.
Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent can be played as a single player or in cooperative multiplayer mode over the Internet for up to 4 people. Additional players can join at any time.
Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent takes us to the title fantasy land, where dark forces have begun to take over. Wanting to restore order here, a team of adventurers sets out in search of a forgotten relic, and eventually ends up in the underworld, where a mysterious master of the occult resides. The story told in the game takes place before the events of Descent: Legends of the Dark and is a stand-alone tale; therefore, knowledge of the storyline of the board game is not necessary.

Game Ratings for Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent Video Game.
RPGamer: 3 / 5
Based on the popular tabletop game Descent: Journeys in the Dark, Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent manages to capture the mechanical pacing of a physical session. It stands as a technically sound, faithful translation of its roots, but the final product is bogged down by a generic story, wooden voice acting, and flat characters.

Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent is an excellent synergy-driven game set in a dungeon where players can engage in cooperative fights with great graphics and sound effects.
MMORPG.com: 8 / 10 by Chris Saxon
Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent is a great CRPG. It's not without its flaws, but no game is.
