The Legendary Starfy Description
The Legendary Starfy is a colorful and fairytale platformer telling about the adventures of a joyful star. The game was created by TOSE studio and released by Nintendo. This is the fifth installment of The Legendary Starfy series, previously available mainly on the Japanese market.
In the game we play the seven-year-old golden star of Starfa, the legendary hero of the Pufftop land. As the hero slept in bed, astronaut-clad rabbit Rampa fell from heaven and broke through the roof of Tenkai Palace, landing straight on the poor Starfy. This is how the adventure begins, in which at first we have to face above all the group known as Dire Pirate Squat, trying to kidnap a strange rabbit from the castle, and then plunge into the depths of the ocean together with a friend - the mussel Kyorosuke.
The game uses many elements known from classic representatives of the genre. We go through different levels, defeating different opponents and solving logical and arcade puzzles. The main character was given the ability to wear several costumes giving him various powers. Starfs, touching a bubble with the thoughts of rabbit Rampa, can dress up as a ghost, dragon, chicken and manata. Disguising a dragon, for example, gives access to powerful fiery attacks.
During the fun we take part in many exciting events, visiting interestingly designed levels on land and under water. We can ride small mining wagons, slip on ice surfaces on ice cubes, jump over huge chasms or air bubbles, run away from fire on the slopes of the volcano or, of course, dive into the ocean. Important elements of the game are also collecting various treasures and objects and fighting against bosses, among which it is worth mentioning the giant squid, penguin and shark.
The creators have prepared a cooperation mode active only in some areas of the game. One person then directs the Old Man and the other the Old Man. Another option is to publish the results of boss battles on the web. In addition, during the game we can take part in five funny mini-games, including cooking with Starpy and changing the heroes' outfits by choosing really crazy creations.
