The Longest Five Minutes for PC, PSV and SWITCH is a unique jRPG by Syupro-DX and Nippon Ichi Software. In the game you play as a warrior, who's trying to regain his lost memories.
The Longest Five Minutes starts in an unusual way—it begins with the final fight. The protagonist, however, can't remember what had happened on the way to the dark lord's dwelling. He is also unable to recall special attacks he needs to use, nor the reasons why he had decided to face this enemy in the first place. Conversations with his companions and even the dark lord's taunts bring back memories in the form of flahsbacks, during which the protagonist learns his skills anew.
The Longest Five Minutes for PC, PSV and SWITCH is a jRPG, so there's a strong emphasis on the story. Despite its title, the game takes hours to complete, and the eponymous five minutes pass only from the protagonist's point of view. During the flashbacks, he remembers his battle skills, special attacks and other tricks, which helps him fight the dark lord. The memories take the form of separate episodes, during which you explore varied environments, talk to NPCs, and complete main story quests and sidequests. The protagonist and his companions participate in many turn-based battles. In combat, you not only use the protagonist's skills, but you can also count on the three members of your party to help you.
The Longest Five Minutes features colorful pixel-art visuals, based on cult classic games of the genre, released for 8-bit devices. Thanks to such graphics choice, the game can also be run on older computers.
