The Lord of the Rings Online: Corsairs of Umbar PC

The Lord of the Rings Online: Corsairs of Umbar is the eleventh expansion to The Lord of the Rings Online, a 2007 MMORPG set in the fantasy universe by J. R. R. Tolkien. Though the base game is available for free, the expansion must be purchased, being available in three versions - Standard Edition, Collector's Edition and Ultimate Fan Bundle.

Plot

The Corsairs of Umbar is set in the titular Umbar - an enigmatic place, where pirates moor their ships on the sunny shores of Corsair City, and the stories of the legendary Kindred of the Coins spread through the bustling ports.

Mechanics

The expansion develops the base game, the main premise of which is fighting the evil forces of Sauron. Corsairs of Umbar introduces a new seaside land and a new class inspired by Eärendil - a legendary half-elven sailor from Tolkien's Silmarillion. Mariners adore the sea, sing shanties to buff their allies and engage enemies in melee combat using their swords. The class is only available to River Hobbits, Stout-Axe Dwarves, High Elves and Men.

Those who dare venture into the heart of Umbar, through the Outer Gondor coasts or the sandy Shield Isles, will face many dangers, powerful enemies and hundreds of unique quests. There are over 350 of them, revolving around Umbar's political intrigue and ancient secrets to stop the Kindred of the Coins, who threaten the fragile peace held by King Eleassar and Queen Arwen. The expansion also introduces unique end game content, such as an exciting new raid.

Game modes

The Lord of the Rings Online: Corsairs of Umbar was created with multiplayer in mind. Players can either explore the world solo, interacting with strangers along the way, or gather allies and face mighty foes together.
