The Race for the White House is a proposal of Eversim's development team (Commander in Chief: Geo-Political Simulator 2009, Rulers of Nations: Geo-Political Simulator 2) addressed to players who would like to test themselves as politicians and fight for the highest office in the United States. The game is a combination of economic strategy and socio-political simulation.

The player has an opportunity to take part in one of several predefined candidates modelled on authentic American politicians (e.g. Jack Oham - Barack Obama, Mick Ronney - Mitt Romney, Hilda Tilton - Hilary Clinton, Lara Saylin - Sarah Palin) or to create their own hero. The aim of the game is to win the support of the voters (or more precisely the electors) and win the presidential election.

The creators will try to render the issues related to the conduct of the election campaign as broadly as possible. It is the player's responsibility to visit constituencies, raise funds, meet party members, organise staffs, take part in TV debates, etc. The player's responsibility is therefore to visit constituencies, raise funds, meet party members, organise staffs, participate in TV debates, etc. The player's responsibility is not to be a member of a party. It is important to constantly monitor social trends and react to random events. Each action has specific consequences, both positive and negative (for example, opting for the legalization of homosexual unions will benefit the candidate's supporters in liberal circles of voters, but may cause conservative businessmen to resign from financial support for the campaign). It is even possible to use unclean plays to discredit the rival.

Available game modes allow you to play solo (against computer artificial intelligence) or with a live opponent via the Internet. Implemented social functions allow you to compare your achievements with other players.

Technically, The Race for the White House uses a modified version of the engine that was used in previous Eversim productions. The game is based on the text layer, but the creators took care of such visual elements as three-dimensional images of candidates or authentic photographs of characteristic architectural objects (e.g. the White House and Wall Street).
