The Sims 3: Island Paradise is an expansion to The Sims 3 – a game which simulates the life. This expansion has been made also by The Sims Studio – the same team which has created the previous parts of Island Paradise. The studio was specifically designated for this task by Electronic Arts.

The theme of the expansion is the sea and all activities related to it. For the first time in the Sims series, the Sims can build houseboats and moor them in different ports, and even anchor in the middle of the ocean. They have also the opportunity to explore unexplored islands, each in different ways, thanks to founding fragments of the map. What is more, they can build houses on the water, and even exclusive seaside hotels. The Island Paradise gives also the opportunity to dive in two ways – using a straight tube to breathe under water, or with full diving equipment.

The Sims Game Series

The Sims is a series created by Maxis studio and published by Electronics Arts since 2000. The games in the series can be described as life simulators, in which, directing the avatars we create, we act out scenes from everyday life, but also build them houses, which we can then furnish according to our vision. The series has sold more than 200 million copies, making it one of the world's best-selling games, and has twice made it into the Guinness Book of World Records.
