The Sims Social

The Sims Social is the edition of one of the most popular series in the history of video games dedicated for social networking site Facebook’s users. The game has been produced by Playfish studio which is specialized in browser games.

Similarly, to the other parts of the series, in The Sims Social the players create their own heros using the extensive character editor. Then it is time to select the type of personality, facial features and clothing and then take control of the Sims’ everyday life. However, this time, the players interact primarily with the Sims created by their Facebook’s friends.

The main purpose of the player is keeping the main character in the best mood, what is expressed by six indicators. They are: relationships with other Sims, entertainment, appetite, hygiene, physiological needs and sleepiness. After some time, the levels of each of them begin to fall and then the player’s task is to improve the status by asking the hero to perform some appropriate actions.

In The Sims Social the players have a chance to make a virtual romances, visit their neighbors, develop talents and build houses, which they always wanted. Most aspects of the game are well known to fans of the series so at first, they will feel like home. The improvements and modifications mainly concern Facebook – they players can send invites and messages and use other options designed specially by the creators of the game.

After finishing most of activities, the players get the money. The money allows to purchase elements in the online store. There can be bought items like: interior design elements, plants for the garden which help to begin construction work in the new flat. For people who want to show off a unique interior, the developers have prepared additional items that can be purchased for so-called SimCash. It is a virtual currency that may be obtained only for real money.

Generally, the game is colorful and cartoony and looks better than most of the Facebook’s games. The presentation of the game action and arrangement of cameras is similar to the first part of the series. Using the appropriate buttons gives the opportunity to select the zoom level. People who have weaker equipment can also reduce the quality of the graphics.
