The Wizards is a VR action-adventure game developed by the Polish studio Carbon Studio. The game takes us to a fantasy world where we play as one of the titular mages. Our job will be to travel in time in order to save the Kingdom of Men from the impending doom. We observe the action from a first-person perspective. As we play, we will explore all kinds of diverse locations, where we will face your typical fantasy beasts and enemies.
The Wizards for PC is an action-adventure game developed by the independent Polish studio – Carbon Studio. Just like the developer’s previous creation, Alice VR, The Wizzards was released on PC and requires VR goggles and motion controllers to work.
The game takes us to a fantasy world were we play as one of the titular wizards. Our task is to travel in time and save the Kingdom of Men from the impending threat.
Action in The Wizards for PC is presented from a first-person perspective (FPP). As we play, we explore diverse locations and face garden-variety fantasy beasts. During our adventures, we use various spells based on the four elements. As we progress, we gain access to more powerful ones, allowing us to face more powerful and dangerous enemies. We can also upgrade spells we already know.
Gameplay has another interesting aspect to it – Fate Cards. They serve as special modifiers that allow us to adjust the rules of the game according to your own taste and modify the difficulty level. Thanks to that The Wizards has a high replayability rate, making each playthrough completely unique.
The game requires VR goggles and motion controllers to be playable. We cast spells by moving our hands in a specified way and look around by simply moving our head.
The Wizards for PC offers a single player campaign made of various missions. Mutliplayer focuses on online rankings where we can share our scores.
The Wizards for PC uses Unreal Engine 4, elevating its visuals well above the average quality. The game’s highly detailed environment and special effects visible when casting spells will definitely draw your attention.

Wizards is an entertaining game when it works with plenty to keep you occupied. I just wish you didn’t have to fight with the controls so much then this would be up there with the best.

From its amazing spell conjuring to its great control options, The Wizards is a great experience that will be enjoyed by most PSVR owners. The combat arenas can become slightly repetitive but they are broken up by light puzzles and awesome boss fights. The motion gesture spell casting is brilliantly realized and really makes you feel like you are actually creating magic.

There are plenty of archery, wave-based, and shooter VR titles out there, but none that scratch the spellcasting itch. Thankfully, The Wizards fills that gap with style. What it may occasionally lack in finesse, it makes up for in style, voice work, and gameplay. The Wizards is a solid addition to any VR library.
