Evasion

Released on PS4 and PC Evasion platform, it is the first shooter to be inspired by such series as Borderlands or Doom from 2016. In contrast to the productions mentioned above, the title was designed for virtual reality. The game was created by Archiact studio, known among others from Hidden Fortune and Trials of the Damned.

Plot

Evasion allows players to play the role of representatives of the so-called Vanguard (avant-garde) – elite special forces whose task is to protect the human colony against the attack of legions of deadly aliens, called Optera.

Mechanics

The Evasion on PS4 and PC is the first-best bullet hell shooter. We start the game by choosing characters – there are several classes available, such as Warden (a tank, a hero with high resistance and coping well with a short circuit), Surgeon (a doctor who cares about the standard of living of individual team members), Striker (his role is primarily to deal damage to enemies) and Engineer (a versatile class who can perform many different roles on the battlefield).

During the game itself, in addition to shooting and using the special skills of the chosen class, the game also allows you to hide behind the shields and/or shield carried by our hero (we do this by moving our own body). Archiact's production is also distinguished by its advanced physics model, which allows it to destroy certain elements of the environment (e.g. nearby rocks).

Game modes

In Evasion, we can play alone or in the company of others, in a networked mode. The game offers both a feature campaign and a survival mode, where we fight the successive, endless waves of enemies.

Technical aspects

Developed for PS4 and PC Evasion, the game is based on the Unreal Engine 4 engine and has a 3D graphics design that you can enjoy, especially when compared to other virtual reality productions. Artistic style can be associated with the Destiny (Bungie studio) and Mass Effect (BioWare) series.
