The player takes on the role of Jun, a rebellious girl who is imprisoned in a dangerous world parallel to our world (the title "world right next door"). The production was prepared in cooperation with Rose City Games studio and VIZ Media.
The World Next Door is an action adventure game inspired by anime and numerous independent productions with a stron focus on narrative. The game touches on themes such as magic and parallel worlds. Rose City Games is responsible for its creation, in collaboration with the VIZ Media publishing company.
The main character of The World Next Door is Jun - a young girl with a rebellious character, who as a result of a certain combination of circumstances ends up in a parallel world filled with magic and supernatural creatures. Together with her friends, Jun will try to discover the secrets of this strange place.
The World Next Door is an action adventure game that focuses primarily on narrative. Players can also expect puzzles to solve and the ability to gradually develop relationships with the cast of interesting and diverse NPCs.
The World Next Door is a single player game.
The visuals of The World Next Door do not differ from the standard typical for independent games. The most noteworthy are character designs, made by the famous illustrator Lord Gris.
