City builders are a capacious genre, which includes both big-budget productions and works by independent developers. Among the latter is TheoTown, developed by Lobby Divinus, a studio inspired by classic productions of this type.

In TheoTown we view the events in an isometric view. During the gameplay we play the role of an administrator whose task is to erect prosperous cities within large regions from scratch. It is up to us whether we decide to build large metropolises or bet on a network of small towns.

City development

All issues related to the operation of a city rest on our shoulders. Thus, we designate zones for residential, commercial and industrial buildings, take care of the infrastructure by creating an electrical grid and water supply, as well as delineate the grid of streets and watch over their capacity. The latter are traversed by cars and buses, and in addition, the transportation systems here also include railroads or airplanes. Topping it all off are the wonders of the world waiting to be erected.

Problems

At the same time, it must be remembered that the city would be nothing without its residents. Therefore, we must take care of their needs, provide them with access to public services, education and infrastructure. It doesn't stop there, as the game confronts us with the need to face even greater challenges, such as fires, pollution, crime, epidemics and natural disasters.
