Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003 is the next installment of the golf simulation signed with EA Sports logo and the name of the multiple champion of this sport. The most important novelties in the game are an increase in the pool of licensed players known from the PGA Tour and the addition of new locations modelled on real golf courses. In total we have twelve different areas available: Pebble Beach Golf Links, Tournament Players Club in Sawgrass, The Royal Birkdale Golf Club, Princeville, Poppy Hills, Spyglass Hill, Tournament Players Club in Scottsdale and Torrey Pines.
The most famous PGA Tour players take part in the tournaments: Tiger Woods, Ty Tryon, Charles Howell III, Brad Faxon, Notah Begay III, Vijay Singh, Jesper Parnevik, Jim Furyk, Stewart Cink, Colin Montgomerie, Mark Calcavechia and others. The new career mode enables us to plan our training, purchase the right equipment and participate in competitions leading up to the championship title. The game also provides several other game options such as the New Skills Competition, Tour Challenge, EA SPORTS Shoot-out, Best-Ball, Team Competition, Scramble and PGA Tour Season.
Realism of the simulation is provided by the TrueSwing technology, which calculates all the parameters of a golf club's impact on the ball in real time. The Caddy Book option is available during the competition, suggesting the best hit technique.
The three-dimensional graphics engine has been slightly improved, adding new effects and more realistic animations. David Feherty and Bill Macatee, known to the fans of this sport, played the role of commentators again.
