Time to Morp is a strategic game in which we control a colony of funny, shape-shifting creatures called Morps. We collect resources, build and discover new materials and creatures. The game was developed and released by the independent studio Team HalfBeard (known from Dude, Stop).

Mechanics

In Time to Morp our task is to create a colony of little creatures. To do this, we need to explore the three-dimensional environment (the action is most often observed from above - from isometric perspective - but the camera often changes its position) and collect various kinds of resources, from which we then build the things we need.

One of the key mechanics in Team HalfBeard's game is the shapeshifting of Morps - creatures change as a result of what they eat or interact with. For example, a Morp fed with metal starts to produce it, and a creature thrown into the water becomes a kind of fountain.
