Touch Detective 3 + The Complete Case Files Switch

Touch Detective 3 + The Complete Case Files is a compilation of three installments of the Touch Detective point-and-click adventure game series. It was developed by Nicalis, including the games Touch Detective, Touch Detective 2 1/2 and Touch Detective 3.

Plot

Touch Detective has us playing as young detectives, conducting investigations and solving cases. The protagonist of the first game is Rina, while Touch Detective 2 1/2 and Touch Detective 3 star Mackenzie. In her first adventure, the latter protagonist must uncover the mystery of suspicious thefts, while in the sequel, she faces detective Norman Touche. The compilation also includes some additional scenarios starring Funghi, her assistant.

Mechanics

Gameplay-wise, the games included in Touch Detective 3 + The Complete Case Files don't differ much from other point-and-click games. The player must traverse various areas, look for clues and talk to NPCs. This lets us gather information (which is written down in our journal), bringing us closer to solving the case and beating the game. The NPCs are all very diverse, including the dreamer Penelope, genius inventor Cromwell and self-proclaimed detective Chloe. The game can be controlled both through buttons and analog sticks, as well as the touch screen.

The compilation also includes some digital bonuses, such as concept art, character art and comics. The soundtracks of each game are also included.

Technical aspects

Touch Detective 3 + The Complete Case Files features colorful, cartoonish visuals.
