Pro Cycling Manager 2018 is the next installment of the popular series of cycling managers, whose development is the responsibility of the Cyanide Studio. The production was released by Focus Home Interactive.

Mechanics

In Pro Cycling Manager 2018 the player takes on the role of cycling team manager, which leads to the victory in more than two hundred races divided into five hundred stages, among them the La Vuelta competition and the legendary Tour de France.

In the course of the game we do not take direct control over the rider; instead we gather a team of experts who help us to take care of the cycling team, whose members we gain through the activity of the so-called talent hunters. After signing the contract with the cyclist, we have to plan his career path throughout the season, as well as take care of the training plan, adjusting the intensity and frequency of exercises to his individual abilities. Of course, everything requires money, so an important part of the game is to attract sponsors. In addition, before each race we can establish a separate tactics, and after crossing the starting line by our charges – manage the team in such a way as to save key players for the most important parts of a given section.

Compared to previous parts of the series, the described production can boast many improvements. We are talking primarily about the presence of a new system of contracts and negotiations with sponsors, as well as about new mechanisms behind the recruitment and transfer of players in the Career mode. Apart from that, the development system of the cyclist in the Pro Cyclist module has been extended – from the beginning of his career we can choose two specializations – the main and the side ones. In addition, the authors considered the artificial intelligence controlling the members of competing teams.

Game modes

In addition to single player modes, in Pro Cycling Manager 2018 is also a multiplayer mode in which we can play with up to fifteen other players, creating clans and organizing our own competitions.

Technical issues

Pro Cycling Manager 2018 is based on the technology known from previous parts of the series; the authors have not made major changes to the three-dimensional graphic design.
