Designed for multiplayer action game, being a sequel to War of the Roses. The title was produced by Swedish studio Fatshark with publishing support from Paradox Interactive. In War of the Vikings, players have the opportunity to take the side of the Saxons or the Vikings and stand up to brutal competition in online skirmishes for up to 64 players. The gameplay mechanics is based on the solutions from War of the Roses with an emphasis on even greater realism in close combat.

War of the Roses is a game-oriented multiplayer team action game, the plot of which was set in the reality of 15th century England. Players have the opportunity to move to the battlefields of the famous "War of Two Rose", fought between the families of Lancasters and Yorkers. Developers from the Fatshark studio put the main emphasis on multiplayer gameplay.
