Mechanics

While the Iron's Hot features a vast world to explore. The village serves as our base, from which we embark on numerous journeys to the farthest corners of Ellian. Our adventures will take us to different settlements and mysterious dungeons. While exploring locations the game is a side-scroller - when traversing the world map, we see it from the top-down perspective.

Exploration lets us meet other people of the land, such as alchemists and shipbuilders, learn many secrets and acquire resources. These we need for crafting, which is one of the game's key mechanics. Players will get to craft various items, melt them down and combine them together. We must first complete the entire smithing process - melting, forging, grinding, many of these activites portrayed as mini-games.

Though there's no combat in the game, there are other challenges to face. As we search for treasures and rare resources, we'll often need to make our way past environmental puzzles. To solve them, oftentimes we must craft a specific item.

As we progress, our character's abilities grow. We can also start expanding the village, restoring it to glory.
